Now that the weather has started to warm up, the sun is out more and we can head outdoors without as many layers it is the perfect time to get outside as a family.

1. Pick Flowers: With some beautiful flowers starting to bloom why not head out to the garden and pick some to have inside. ,If you do not have a garden of your own you could head to a local nature reserve and take a look at the different coloured and shaped flowers growing in your area.
2. Watch the Sunset: As the days get longer, take advantage of the mild spring evenings and go on a family sunset-watching adventure. Why not take a picnic and enjoy the sunset over some delicious snacks or even dinner.
3. Fly a Kite: Spring is renowned for its windy days, making it the perfect season to fly a kite. Spend an afternoon at a local park, beach, or open field and give kids the chance to fly a kite.
4. Planting: Gardening is a fantastic way to teach your children responsibility. Have a go at setting up a family garden and plant some easy-to-grow spring vegetables or flowers. This is a great opportunity to introduce some chores- if they plant it they also have to take care of it.

6. Making a Bird Feeder: Welcome to spring time birds into your garden by creating a delicious treat for them to eat. Pinecones, peanut butter, and birdseed, are a great base for some yummy bird-friendly treats that your family can hang in your garden or on trees.
7. Going Bushwalking: Take a family hike in a nearby reserve or nature area. Spring offers mild weather, growing flowers and trees, and the chance to spot wildlife. Make sure to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the outdoors together.

The rule is- if its on the ground then we can use it in our craft. We never pick leaves or flowers from tress that are not our own.
