10 Ways to Play with Pom Poms
Pom poms are one of my favourite items to have in the ‘toy box’. They are so versatile and can be used in so many activities for all ages.
Check out some of my favourite ways to play with these incredible balls of fluff
Stick some contact to a window with the sticky side facing out. Sit baby in front of the contact and show them how to stick pom poms on to the contact.
Fill a whisk with small objects such as socks, pom poms or pieces of fabric that baby can try and pull out.
Build a pom pom drop by connecting some tubes (toilet rolls) and sticking these to the window or wall. Put the pom poms through the tunnel.
Use an empty egg carton and colour the bottom of the egg cups a different colour. Place the matching colour pom poms into the egg cups.
Print pictures of patterns and use lego or pom poms to recreate the pattern in an egg carton
Place pom poms into an ice block mould. Pour water in and freeze the pom poms. Once frozen add these pom poms to the bath or another bucket of water.
Glue pom poms together to make different animals. Add googly eyes and pipe cleaners for ears and tails.
Draw different lines on a piece of paper (zig zag, spiral wobbly). Use small rocks, pom poms or beads to repeat the ants path.
Balance pom poms on top of toilet rolls. Use a straw and try and blow these pom poms down.
Use some blocks to build a track and place the pom pom in the middle. Using a straw blow the pom pom through the track.
